During this week, the laser cutter was repaired and could be used again. Before break I wasn't able to create a valentines gift so then I decided to use the laser cutter to create a card. Before I made the card, I helped Jaspreet with the Giant Word Clock and reorganizing the letter blocks into the order that she needed. After I finish with this small arts and crafts project I want to focus on the Giant World clock and configure how to connect the power to both ends of the LEDs and also how we are going to plant the PCB.
Now for the card, it didn't take that long and after that I started to work on the late Valentine's day card. I first made a plan of how I wanted the card to look and function because I wanted to make a special part where you can pull paper out of a slot. On the paper you pull out I wanted to draw on it and it would still be visible through the first layer. I first made my model on Fusion360.

I made the second layer that would great a gap between the first layer and the card when glued together. I made four cuts of the model below. When I glued these layers together and onto the card it created a nice gap. This gap is the reason how the piece of paper is able to slide in and out.

After I cut out small flowers and glued them on spots where I couldn't get rid of dirt and dust. It added as a fun addition of color after I colored them. Later I added on stars that I cut out, I didn't take a photo of. However, I first drew on the sliding card and colored on both sides because the paper was thick enough where the markets didn't bleed through. They really love cats so I drew a million cats around a very big balloon heart that you can see through the card. On the back I drew a cheesy line and a picture of an alien cat. I enjoy how vibrant it turned out.

This is the front and back decorated.
