In this whole week, me and my two friends (Jaspreet and Bella) have been working on the mapping of each letter. We decided to scrap the original idea that Grace Kallberg had and cooperate different words. We also had to avoid from directly using the exact same format that Sacha Silvia had more his Word Clock. On Tuesday we focused on disconnecting and reconnecting the LEDs on the giant board and made indicators on it so then we would know where each word went and where the current was going to go through first.
We decided to sneak in our names in the free spaces on the board, they wont be lit up by any LED and only be visible by using the white acrylic instead of black. Me and Bella decided to spray paint the whole acrylic as it would be easy instead of manually spray painting each letter piece. Bella and Jaspreet were brainstorming ideas to build a frame around the whole Word Clock which would hide the wires in the back as they do not look very appealing in general and looks like a total mess. Next week we hope to finish laser cutting some words out and also get a hold of a power supply however, Mr. Christy did not have a power supply that was 5 volts and 45 amps so then we'd have to wait if we wanted to light up the whole board. Thankfully, it's not on our agenda to light up the board just wait as we are prioritizing to physical pieces of the clock.

This is our mapping of each word. There are 20 E's so that means we have to laser cut out 20 E's!

This is our board with markings of where current travels and we decided where our start and end would be. It almost resembles a maze.

This is one side of a fully spray painted acrylic. We had to do another layer because of the visible scratch marks on it.
