2/25-2/26

This week, I could only blog Wednesday and Thursday due to the two snow days on Monday and Tuesday. I wanted to also recap what I did on Friday before February break. Friday, I finished taking off all of the letter blocks from the board with the help of Bella and Jaspreet. We managed to fill out our second box and was left with 22 without a box. Mr. Christy allowed me to keep the box and blocks at my desk over break.

Wednesday consisted on finished the frame. Jaspreet, Bella, and I ran into an issue with the wood screws. The screws that we currently had was too short and fell out of the hole with the bracket when we tried to screw them in. Mr. L recommended to visit Carpentry if they had the wood screws that we needed. We found a perfect length and asked them. They have us the supplies and we were able to use them. We returned the materials we didn't use and thanked them. This newly installed piece will help us be able to mount the clock up, maybe with string or another part that would need to be added. Mr. L also recommended that we printed four more L-brackets for the walls so then it would be more stable.

Thursday was mainly waiting for the parts to finish printing. We were able to drill in two brackets because Mr. L printed two brackets in the morning. This allowed the walls to hold up more stronger. It resisted from warping. As the frame was coming to a finish, we wanted to plan out how we were going to take out the LEDs and move it onto the frame. We might need to take off the LEDs first and screw them in individually before connecting them all together. I decided to organize the letter blocks alphabetically so then it be easier to construct words on the frame once we assemble the whole thing. We managed to screw in the last brackets and also take off all of the LEDs off of the old board. We mapped out the letters.
