This week I was unsure of what to do. At first I did research about Daylight Saving over the Word Clock code, I didn't want to work on the code because I didn't understand it that well compared to Jaspreet. I looked over code from another student and took notes. After I took notes, me and Jaspreet agreed together that we would both work on the code after she finishes her project. This week I was able to start another project given to me by Mr. L for the meantime. He asked me to think of a housing for a music box that came with the new 3D printer. I first looked up the model that the printer intended for the box and I decided to create a record player. I wanted to create a detachable cover for it that I will use acrylic for. I first would model out the Music box to my best capabilities so then I could test out the bottom if the holes are exact and the screws will go through. Mr. L also taught me how to use the new program with the new 3D printer.
This is my model of the music box. It was a little challenging to find the measurements as they aren't 100% accurate.

After I made the model I started to create a box. There are tabs that I will eventually all combine together. I only need to bottom to be one as the top will be separate and fastened with L brackets that I will need to 3D print as well. The music box has threads which secures the screws so all I need is nuts. I might change the width of the sides and bottom.

After it finished printing I found out that it was not exact at all and I believe I mixed up the length and width measurements. I fixed it in fusion but I didn't have enough time to reprint it. I also made the height smaller so then the provided screws could go through both the music box and the bottom so then I could secure with nuts. I think I am going to try and make legs on the bottom so then the nuts won't make it off balance. I will try to finish the bottom on Friday before getting into the weekend.
