Last week, I primarily worked on the Word clock code. I wanted to update it and add another button to the webserver. The new color is Easter, it consists of: light purple, light green, and teal. Making a new button was a refresher for my mind because I never thought I would be making another color for the webserver after Christmas. I first had to establish Easter in the code. I then made the route for the GPIO to establish itself after tapping on Easter.

Next, I had to edit the matrix of the holiday colors and added another row. I was unsure what these colors would look once I established them as integers so I took extra LEDs we had and covered it with a paper. The colors shined through which gave me a rough estimate look of what it would look in the letter blocks. I also tried to use low amounts of each color value so then the LED wouldn't get hot in a short period of time. After finishing the code, I moved onto the actual webserver and edited the style and index files.

I also changed the delay statement to this:

  if ((minutes % 1) == 0) ((minutes % 2) == 0);

Now this code is able to allow any changes to the ESP32 server to be projected onto the clock. This still prevents the constant "flashing" that would be seen if there was no present delay.

We worked on the word clock. Mr. Christy suggested an addition of a metal bar that can distribute power evenly through the board. Bella is going to work on standoffs for the bar because the whole thing is overcrowded with wires. We also had Carpentry come down and give us input of how to hang up the clock. They agreed with the suggestion of French cleats. We also plan to ask Metal Fab. to help and create brackets for stronger reinforcement. Mr. L told Bella ways of how to deal with the steel bars.

This week I also started to create a new project on fusion. I plan to make a jewelry box for her because she keeps all of her jewelry in a small box. I wanna create sections where she can categorize herself. I'm not sure of what kind of cover I want but I think I will make a sliding one.
