This week was dedicated to working on the anniversary card. I truly wanted to make it special. I had to fix the size because it was way too big to fit on one paper. I made a functional slider for one of the pages and my friend said it looked like a receipt. It gave me an idea to turn that page into a photo booth like settings with a fake receipt of the price. I cut out the essentials but I still need to cut out the cake and the its functional flip frosting. I hope that I remember to bring my markers on Friday to start coloring, but it's okay if I don't because I can finish up the card on Monday.

This is how I created the slider. I made enough space for one square to slide freely. I then created a smaller square to glue onto the big square inside. The walls around the slider allows it to be secure and for me to not be worried. When I assembled all of the parts, I was surprised that it would work well. It looks very similar to a slider that I included in past projects. Next time, I might try to challenge myself to create a notch which can be turned in a full circle.

The card wasn't the only thing I worked on this week, I was on cleaning duty and so Mr. Christy requested I made labels on top of the closet cabinets. I created a simple right angle support that worked as the stands. I used the parameters from the labels on the boxes for the size. Then, I tested out the size on the boxes once I cut them out with cardboard. The size was good and so I decided to cut each piece of 1/8" wood. I finished it in one day and you probably already seen them when you walk into or by the closet.
