This week, I focused on created a base that matched the holes on the Music box. After two failed attempts; it worked! After I got it to work I was stumped if I should continue modeling the record player. Jaspreet suggested doing a jukebox as it has more shape and character. I used a reference photo on the internet to base my sketches and shape off. Mr. L reminded me that I can add more character by creating splines to be a path for the bumps or tubes that lead up to the top.

This is the reference photo that want to base off my model on. I had to consider the separation of certain parts. I wanted the music box accessible, this meant I did not want to use glue. Mr. L helped me come up with ways to separate the layers and told me that the 3D printer is able to handle making these kinds of details. I locked down what will be printed as a solid piece and what will be separated. I want the front, back, and base to be a single print. I separated the left, right, and top of the model, to support this I made a small walls in the inside that come from part 1. The small walls support the top which is an arc.
This is part 1, I haven't created the supports for the top just yet. Next to it is part 2 which is the top and the sides combined. There is a gap in the side for the wind to go through and freely rotate.
